The following have been elected members of the Norraanby School Committee, for the year 1882:—Charles Qnin, Francis Sisley, Felix Hunger, W. Gibson, W. Rowe, R. Eagles, CCasey. In reply to question, Mr Twopeny stated that without wishing to express any opinion on the question, reasons connected with the management rendered it quite impossible for the promoters to have the Christchurch Exhition open on Sundays.

A resident of Martou has been fined 10s for carrying a parcel of dynamite in the railway train.
