London, 3rd.—lt has transpired that Russia, Germany, Austria, and Italy have, through their ambassadors, informed the Porte that any alteration of the statu quo in any portion of the Sultan’s dominions will require the assent of the Great Powers. Crisis in Egypt. Cairo, 3rd.—A Ministry, composed of what is known ns the Egyptian National Party, is now being formed to succeed the Government of Cherit Pasha. Cairo, 2.—Yielding to pressure of the military, the Chamber of Notables has nominated Mahmaud Baronde Pasha Minister War, under Cherif Pasha as Premier in the new Ministry. The Khedive has accepted the nomination, and Mahmoud is now engaged in filling the various portfolios of his Cabinet. Small-pox on Steamer. Melbourne, sth. —Two stewards of the steamship Mirzapore have been attacked with small-pox. Two further cases are believed to be developing. London Markets. London, 2nd.—No changes to report in markets for colonial securities, breadstuffs, or tallow.
