AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.
In the recent cup match in Victoria (says an Australian paper) in the Western District, Johnny Mullagh, the aboriginal cricketer, made the fine score of 110 out of a total of 243. F. Baker, for South Melbourne v. East Melbourne on Jan. 7 and 14, in a contest for the Cleeland Challenge Cup, made 126, the total reaching 369.—A11ee, on Jan. 11, for East Melbourne v. Fifteen of Northcote, made 124 not out. Alexander, for Northr cote, went in first wicket down and played a fine not-out innings of 70.—Melbourne v. Fitzroy was continued on Jan. 14; nine wickets being down for 450 runs; M’Donnell 109.—0n Jan. 11, M.C.C. v. Fifteen of Richmond, scored 235 for six wickets, of which W. M’Evoy made 108 ; Vieusseux 31 (not out), and Kelly 36. Richmond made 74.—0n June 12, Stanfield for the Stage v. (he Press in the second innings went in first, and carried his bat out for 100 runs,—The Carlton and Alberts Clubs (Sydney) commenced a match for the Holdsworth-Gardyne Cup, on Jan. 14. Carlton went in first and scored 270 runs ; A. Bannerman, 111 (his third century this season) ; Nunn, 65.
