WEDDING APPOINTMENTS.

The Wairarapa Star of the 26th Jany. sa} r s : —On Tuesday last Miss Rachel Nicholas, eldest daughter of Mrs Nicholas, of Timisbury, Tasmania (formerly a resident of the Wairarapa), was married in the parish church of Featherston to Mr Elliott Barton, junr., of Patea. The marriage service was impressively read by the Rev. H. Yere White, and the bride, charmingly attired in an ivory satin dress, set off with orange blossoms, and wearing a wreath of orange flowers, was given away by Mr Charles Pharazyn. The dresses of the four bridesmaides—Miss Nicholas and the three Misses Pharazyn—were of blue silk with lace trimmings Mr Eyre held the position of “best man.” On completion of the ceremony the wedding party returned to Longwood, Mr C. Pharazyn’s residence, whence, after the conviviality usual to such festivals, the happy couple left for Masterton en route for Patea.
