Austro-Hungarian delegations, at their sitting to-day, voted war credit of eight million florins (£800,000) to meet the expenses of the army despatched to quell the rising in the southern provinces. Small-Pox. Adelaide, this day.—Since the fresh outbreak of small-pox among Garonne’s passengers on Wednesday, no further case has been reported. Sympathy for Jews. New York, Ist.—A largely attended public meeting was held here to-day, at which resolutions of sympathy with the position of Jews in Russia were passed. It was also resolved to communicate with Government and request it to intercede with the Czar; with view ; to steps being taken to stay the persecution of Jews in his Empire. Grain and Tallow Market. London, Ist.—■ Adelaide wheal ex warehouse, 56s ; New Zealand wheat ex warehouse, 53s ; Adelaide flour ex warehouse, 425. Australian tallow: best beef, 425; best mutton, 48s. Help for Russian Jews, London, Ist. —A large and influential meeting .was held to-day at the Mansion House for the purpose of taking steps to raise funds to assist the Russian Jews. A powerful committee was appointed to carry out objects of meeting, and £15,000 was subscribed in the room.
