Reuter's Despatches to Patea Daily Mail
This Day. Big Railway Scheme. Brisbane, This Day.—Genera! Fielding, who recently completed the survey of the proposed trans-continental Railway to the Gulf of Carpentaria, hag submitted a proposal on behalf of a London company to the Queensland Government, for construction of the line. The proposal has, however, not been accepted, and certain terras offered by Government have accordingly been referred by General Fielding to the London syndicate.
