WHEAT YIELD.
A crop of wheat being cut by Mr P. Muir at Springston, Canterbury, surpasses anything ever grown on his farm before. Not only is the wheat long in the straw—the crop stands between six and seven feet high—but the ears are large and full, containing from 60 to 70 grains each. Those who are accustomed to estimate the yield of crops expect that this field will run from 60 to 70 bushels to the acre.— Times.
