AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET. Mr Buckland reports that at Kemuera on Thursday, 19th, not many dairy cows were yarded, and those were at late values. Store cattle were in full numbers, and met brisk enquiry. Fat calves were unusually abundant, and consequently lower in value from 3s to ss. Fat cattle were in excess of requirements, 170 head being yarded, and 150 head were sold ; prices were lower about 3s per lOOlbs, or 20s per head, the prices ranging from 16s for coarse ship-borne bullocks, to 23s per lOOlbs for choice Auckland fatted. Fat sheep during the past week have also been received in full numbers, and and prices are lower both for fat and store; fat wethers are 2£d ; ewes, 2d, and a large number unsold ; lambs have also shared in the fall of prices, and are fully onethird less in price than for the past fortnight ; very choice quality brought 12s 6d, but the greater number were at from 5s to 6s. CANTERBURY STOCK REPORT. (From Canterbury Times.') At the Addington Yards on the 18th there was a large attendance of the trade, and for the bulk of the fat stock yarded the biddings were animated compared to late sales. Sheep. —A large supply of fat sheep came forward, most of which consisted of good and medium descriptions. Prime cross-brods sold from 9s to 10s 6d each ; good and medium ditto from 7s 9d to 8s 6d ; prime merinoes from 7s to 7s 9d ; ditto, light weights, from 5s 9d to 6s sd. We quote l|-d per ib as an average for mutton. Fat Lambs.-— A large entry. Prices about equal to last week’s rates were obtained. There is a keen enquiry for cross-bred stores, and a few small lots found buyers at satisfactory prices. Only a small entry of fat cattle was offered, the bulk of which found buyers at prices a shade in advance of last week’s rates. We quote 20s per lOOlbs as an average for beef. A few lots of store cattle were yarded, which changed hands at prices a shade in advance of late rates.
