CANTERBURY STOCK MARKET. (From Canterbury Times.) At the Addington yards on the lltb, owing to the very small supply of fat sheep, the biddings were animated, and the various lots offered found buyers at prices from Is to 1 s G 1 per head in advance of late rates. Good and prime quality cross-bred wethers sold from 11s to 12s 3d ; medium ditto from 8s to 9s. We quote Ifd per lb as an average for fat mutton. A few lines of stores were offered, but the bulk not reaching owners’ reserves were passed unsold. Fat Lambs. —A very large supply was penned, for which there was only a moderate demand, and prices barely equal to late quotations were obtained. Prime lots sold from 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; others from 5s to 7s, according to quality. Cattle. —A fair supply of good and prime quality fat cattle were offered, for which there was a very dull sale. We quote 19s per lOOlbs as an average for prime quality fat cattle, and 17s 6d per lOOlbs for medium ditto. CANTERBURY GRAIN & PRODUCE. (From Canterbury Times.} The week ending 13th has presented much the same aspect as the preceeding. Harvesting operations are now being pushed forward vigorously in most of the districts. Wheat. —The prices of last week represents values 4s to 4s 2d is quoted, but prices shortly will be definitely settled. Oa ts. —Sales o£ old are reported at Is 10d to Is lid for feed, and 2s to 2s Id for milling. Barley. —For best quality 3s 9d to 3s lOd is wanted. Prices are likely to rule high. Flour. —Millers still quote £lO 10s for best brands. Grass Seed.— Bye grass, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; not much has yet been offered. Cocksfoot, 3d to 4d is offered by buyers. Dairy Produce is unaltered.
