This Afternoon. ENGLISH CRICKETERS—This Day. Dunedin,—The English Eleven commenced a three days’ match against the Dunedin Eighteen to-day. There was a strong northerly wind blowing. Goring won the toss, and sent the Dunedin team to the wickets. Peate and Midwinter opened the bowling, which was particularly bright.
