AUCKLAND MARKET.
Messrs Hunter and . Nolan report (Priday) as follows : Horses—Were in full supply, and good demand—drafts from Hawera and Waitara selling fairly. Hacks, from £6 10s to £l6 15s ; light harness, £l4 10s to £2O ; spring cart horses, £l9 to £27 10s ; no heavy draughts were disposed of. Cattle.—Owing to the holidays both supply and demand have not been up to the average. Beef, 20s to 24s per 1001b ; dairy cows, £5 15s to £7 10s ; calves, 22s to 28s 6d ; yearlings, 30s to £2 ; 18 months old steers, £2 5s to £2 17s 6d ; heifers, from £2 to L2 15a ; 2-year-old steers, L 3 to L 3 15s ; grown steers, £4 to L 6 2s 6d. Sheep.—But few sheep were brought forward, and those only ship-borne, and not in very good condition, and sold at from 12s to 16s 3d. Pigs.—None yarded.
