A committee of the Borough Council met a committee of the County Council yesterday, to discuss the apportionment of liabilities and assets resulting from the formation of the municipality. The borough committee comprised the Maj'or, Councillors Aitchison and Milroy. Cr Bridge, on behalf of the County, suggested that the assets should be divided j)TO rata on the basis of rates collected inside the borough area. The Mayor said the Borough Council had a claim to a larger share than that, in the license fees received in advance up to next June. Finally the borough committee offered to accept £6O "in full and final settlement of the borough’s claim against the County Council.
