APPOINTMENT OF J.P.
The Mayor of Patea has to-day received from the Department of Justice the following ; “ I have the honor to inform you that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint yon a Justice of the Peace under ‘ The Municipal Corporations Act. 1876,’ and that it will be necessary for you to wait on Charles Allen Wray, Esq., R.M., for the purpose of taking the customary oaths before him.—l have the honor,” &c. R G Fountain, Under-Secy. His Worship, G. F. Sherwood, Esq., Mayor of Patea.
