KAKARAMEA.

(I 1 ’ KO .M UU 11 CJ OIIUES I* Ols I) E N T.) Wednesday. The School Committee held a meeting on Friday last, when it was resolved to call for tendeis for fencing and verandah. The treat to the children, which is always pleasurably looked forward to at the close of flic year, seemed to be in some danger of lapsing, but thanks to one or two gentlemen who have taken the matter in hand on their own responsibility, and the liberal donations of the parents and friends of Hie scholars, the entertainment promises to be a success. Friday, the broaking-up day, is fixed for llio/c/c, and the prizes will be awarded also on that day.
