were, i very dull, and several ittles not reaching owners’ reserves, were passed in. Prime cross-bred wethers sold from 10s 3d to lls 6d ; good do., from 9s to 10s. We quote IJd per lb as an average for mutton.

Fat Lambs. —The supply was also in excess of the requirements of the trade for this description. Prime lots sold from 6s to Bs. Several drafts of crossbred ewes (shorn) with lambs at foot, sold from 8s 6d to 10s, according to quality } cross-bred hoggetts, in the wool, realised 13s. Fat Cattle. —A large supply of fat cattle came to hand, principally' medium and good quality sorts, for which descriptions there was great want of animation in the biddings, and prices ruled a shade lower than last week’s quotations. We quote 22s 6d per 100 lbs as an average for fat beef.
