Reiiter's Despatches to Patea County Mail.
Demand for Wool.
A Sydney M. Herald special, dated London November 22nd, says an animated tone pervades the wool market, and the English and Scotch manufacturers are buying up large quantities of the staple.
Australian Markets.
Melbourne, Ist. New Zealand oats have declined to 3s 2d for feeding, and 3s 5d for milling sorts. The market is dull, and there is little doing in oats owing to pressure of other business. Adelaide, Ist. Wheat quoted at 5s 3d. The market is weak and irregular.
British and Colonial Mails.
The City of New York, with London mails of 3rd November left ’Frisco for Auckland on 21st, two days late. The Zealandia with colonial mails arrived at ’Frisco bn {he 28tti November, 3 days early
OUTRAGE IN THE ITALIAN PARLIAMENT.
A Sydney Morning Herald special, dated London, 22, says :— ; Last night, while the Italian Parliament was sitting, a Sicilian entered the Chamber and threw a loaded revolver at the head of the Premier. The weapon grazed his face, but did no injury, and did not explode. The affair created a painful sensation.
