Results of the Canterbury Cattle Show: — Draught stock. —In two year old entires: The Hon. Mr Holmes took first prize with Accountant, by Young Banker dam Pearl (therefore own brother to R. E. Mcßae’s Cashier, and second with Sir Arthur Gordon, also by Young Banker. In three-year-old fillies the same gentleman was first with Nancy Brown, by Young Banker, and second with Nonpareil, also by Young Banker, — Mr W. Boag being commended, and highly commended for two fillies by the same sire—the Young Bankers, therefore, taking the four prizes in this class. Hon. Mr Holmes secured the Champion Gold Medal with the filly Nancy Brown for the best draught mare on the ground against all-comers.
