WESLEYAN DISTRICT MEETING.

At the Financial sitting in connecnection with the above meeting on the 7th. the following new buildings and improvements to property were reported : Patea, new parsonage, £3OO, debt; Manaia, church, £9O, no debt; Marion, parsonage improvements, £ 150; New Plymouth and Sanson reported improvements. The erection of a new church at Hawera to cost about £SOO was sanctioned. Permission was asked to sr-11 church and land at Hawera, in order to build in a more desirable position ; granted. The circuit reports of the Connexional funds were presented and accepted. The total amount raised in the district for the home mission fund is £136 9s 6d. The reports of Kai Iwi and Grey Institute properties were presented and received. Grants from the home mission fund were applied lor by the following circuits: New Plymouth, £25 for furniture, and £4O, Waitara; Patea, £25 for furniture, £SO for parsonage, and £4O for new minister; and £4O home missionary for Opunaka; Sanson, £4O; Palmerston North, £75 ; Feilding, £4O. Resolved thai. WiiU.nra be divided from, N?w Plymouth. Resolved that a new minister be appointed to Patea, The statistical report was presented and adopted. The Rev. W. J. Williams was appointed as representative of the Stationing Committee of next Conference. The report of the secretary of district trust property was read and adopted; alter which the district meeting was brought to a close.

At the meeting held last week, application was made from Opunaki for a clergyman at Opnnaki as minister to the troops. The meeting recommended that a home missionary be permanently appointed to Opnnaki.
