The larger staff of a daily paper will enable Local & District News To be reported fully, with interesting speeches verbatim, and ample space given to the other features of a complete and loadable newspaper.
USINEISS Men and Settlers will be aware of the increased expense of a Dally Taper, as large and complete as the Mail is at. present, with special delivery in a large country district. It rests with them to make this costly experiment a success by increasing their business support to the Mail say for a year, by which time there will probably be sufficient increase of settlement to enable all to regard with satisfaction the good results of public co-operation. Friends will kindly recognise that, although a good Daily Taper is desirable, especially in stirring times, yet it can be made a success in this district only by the generous support of all who wish to promote settlement and extend the commercial and shipping facilities of the district. The proprietor of the Mail is risking some loss at first, hoping that it will be made up by increased business. HAWERA Agencies for the Mail : Mr G. V. Bate, for Advertisements ; Mr J. Davidson for Papers; HAWERA. —Wanted, Youth to deliver Patea Mail daily in Hawera district, on horseback. Will-ride to Patea about midday, and return to Hawera same evening.
