CANTERBURY STOOK REPORT. (From Canterbury Timds .) The stock yarded at Addington oil 28th comprised 5159 sheep, 477 head of cattle, and 135 pigs. Sheep. —One third of the fat sheep consisted of merinos. A draft of shorn crossbreds (first of season) realised 10s to 10s 3d ; ditto in the wool (very prime), sold from 17s 6d lo 18s 9d ; ditto, from 15s to 16s 9d ; ditto, good, from 13s to 14s 6d. Extra prime quality merino, 15a'; ditto, from 11s to 12s ; good ditto, from 9s 6d to 10s 6d, We quote 2sd per lb as an average. Fat lambs, from 6s to 12s, according to quality. No stores to hand. Fat Cattle. —A . prime lot yarded, the bulk of which came from the south. Biddings were dull. Prime bullocks, from Til to £l2 5s ; good ditto, from £8 10s to £9 15s. We quote 22s 6d per 1001b as an average. A largo supply of store cattle; dull sale ; bulk turned out unsold. Calves realised 30s ; yearlings, 50s. Pigs. —A large supply and good enquiry; best lots, 34s ; second quality, 19s.
