(Telegram This Day.) FROM OUR PARLIAMENTARY CORRESPONDENT. Second reading of Counties Amendment Act is carried, the election of chairman to be by vote of ratepayers. Hon. Mr Wood - has paid tlie amount of bet between him and Mr Reeves, to Mr Seddon. The trustees in Seddon’s bankruptcy, on being informed, moved the court, and got an order - for the money, It is now paid to them. This evening the whole of the estimates are expected to be gone-through.
