Wanganui Drapery. Special Intimation to the Ladies PETER BELL HAS much pleasure in intimating the Early Arrival of his NEW MILLINERY, SPRING & SUMMER NOVELTIES, AND First Shipment of Straw Goods for the Season. Mr BELL desires especially to intimate that in accordance with the known, though unexpressed, wish of many Ladies, the MILLINERY will ,be withheld from view, either in the Windows or on the Shop Tables, for at least One Week previous to the Great Annual Exposition, so that Ladies may select from the original boxes and have their choice sent home before Marking Off. THE NEW MILLINERY, Mb BELL feels convinced, will excel anything to be shown this Season, either for elegance in style or taste in blending of shade. The buyers at Home have had the assistance of experienced Modistes both in London and Paris, whose good taste has long been the subject of most favorable comment, and which Mb BELL believes will he again appreciated when compared with what is usually brought forward as the Season’s Novelties. If therefore, the Ladies will defer their choice for a few days, until they have viewed the NEW MILLINERY at Victoria House, they will not, Mb BELL feels sure, be disappointed. The"’ leading trimmings this season are— The Ombre Satins in beautifully blended shades, which will be displayed in great profusion at Victoria House. The MILLINERY will be shown from boxes only on MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY* The sth, 6tb, and 7th, AND ON THURSDAY FORENOON, The Bth September. The GREAT ANNUAL EXPOSITION of the Season’s Novelties will take, place as soon as possible after the arrival of the “Wave Queen ” and the “Wild Deer,” bath now due. PETER BELL, VICTORIA HOUSE, . (Adjoining the Bank of New Zealand.) WANGANUI.
