Contributions, Letters. Inquiries and Answers thereto, are invited on Farming. Commerce, Politics, and matters of interest to the Patea district. Names of writers need not be printed. FUNERAL EXPENSES. I have to thank ihe Editor of the Mail for banding me cheque value £5, the amount of the late Mrs Brown’s funeral expenses subscribed by the public as an act of charity'. 1 also wish to thank all parties who have subscribed, and I may say this public liberality gives one confidence not to shirk responsibility in a case of distressing hardship.
