A dome made of paper-pulp pressed - to the hardness of wood is placed over a building at Troy, in N.Y. State. This material is said to’be impervious to- the weather, and is remarkably light in weight. The dome was made and fitted, in sections. The Taranaki Herald has been served with a writ for an action for libel, the / plaintiff claiming £2OO damages. The News likewise has been favored with a missive intimating that an action will be commenced against it—damages £soo— libel complained of having reference to some remarks respecting the payment of the freight for landing the harbour plant received by the Adamant.
