Three' persons had been" attacked on the voyage. Joseph Peregrine, aged 41, died front it, and !two others,are.badly ‘marked.
In; connection with the above report Mr Shrimski, in the Assembly, bn Thursday afternoon, asked whether: it was the intention of the Government to quarantine aor otherwise' fumigate the members who had gone on a visit that day to Dunedin, in view bf the sncfallpox,!: outbreak reported' from that locality. Mr Johnston replied that the question was one which would have to be?dealt with by the Board of Health, and Government had no power to interfere.
