THE LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS BILL.
The Wellington Government organ says it is rnmored that in the new Local Public Works Bill to bo introduced by the Government, the nominee Board, consisting of the Minister for Public Works, Engineer-in-chief, SurveyorGeneral, and Public Trustee, who under last year’s bill were to distribute to the local bodies the funds derived from the proceeds of land sales, will not re-a.pp.ear, but that some other plan of administration will be substituted, the nature of which hhs not yet transpired.
