LONDON WOOL AND GRAIN . MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company report under date of London, June 21—The wool sales progress firmly, and there is good competition by both Horne and foreign buyers. The demand on the French account is active, and the German demand is moderate. Up to date 155,000 bales have been taken for export. The sale programme has been curtailed by six days. The wheat market is quiet, and the weather favourable for the Home crop. Adelaide and New Zealand are both worth 48s fid per 4961b5. The leather market is firmer, best sides being worth Hid. LONDON SEED TRADE. Messrs Shaw and Sons, Mark Lane, London, report that there was a good demand for all sorts of Agricultural seeds during the fortnight ending May 6th by which date though the season was virtually over, stocks were left almost unprecedentedly low, more particularly of English red cow grass, alsyke, and white clover. Fine qualifies of Alsyke and white clover were almost exhausted in consequence of which a rise of fully 10s and 5s per cwt respectively had taken place. Perennial rye grass had been still in good demand at enhanced prices. Lucerne was very scarce and fully 8s per cwt dearer. The sale for bird seeds continued extremely meagre.
