FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT.
New Zealand footballers contemplate holding a grand tournament, between clubs from all parts of the colony, to take place in Wellington. Auckland, the East Coast, Wanganui, and Nelson have signified their willingness to take part in such a tournament. Replies have yet to be received from Christchurch and Dunedin. The tournament would probably last a fortnight, and it is expected would cause' the influx of a large number of visitors into Wellington, and could not fail to excite the keenest interest all over the colony.
