NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Patea (late Carlyle) Town Board, to make a Rate of Ninepence (9d) in the £, on all the Rateable Property within the Town of Patea (late Carlyle) at the next ordinary meeting of the Board, to be held on Monday, the 4th day of July, 1881, at the Board’s Office, Patea, for the period commencing on the sth day of July, 1881, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1882 ; and that the same shall be due and payable at the office of the Board on the 25th July, 1881; and that the Rate Book is now open for inspection, at the office of the Board, during office hours, viz., between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., until the 4th day of July, 1881. The Company cannot be held responsible unless this rule is adhered to. Any complaints of non-delivery, etc., of goods, must be at once mentioned to the Manager to ensure attention and satisfactory results. The Union s.s. Go’s monthly time tables can be inspected at the office, and every information obtained relating thereto, including railway time tables, departure of Union boats for Melbourne, Sydney, and southern and northern ports, and every necessary information. Arrangements have been made with the Union Co. for transhipment of cargo from all ports, consequently great expense and inconvenience will be saved to shippers.
