PORT OF PATEA.
ARRIVED Forest Queen, from Wellington with railway iron. She was towed in by the s.s. Patea on Thursday morning, but the captain being new to the port gave the breakwater too wide a berth after crossing the bar, and got stuck on a sandbank inside the river. She is expected to get off without damage, and is in no danger. Patea s.s., Thursday from Wellington, with 30 tons cargo. Passengers: Mrs Talbot, Messrs North and Hall. Wakatu 5.5.,. Friday, from Wellington, with 30 tons cargo, and two passengers. Clyde s.s., Friday, from Wanganniwith 10 tons cargo ; and sailed Friday. Passengers Mr and Mrs Haywood and Farrar. SAILINGS. Patea s.s., Friday, for Wellington, with general cargo. Passengers ; Messrs E. W. Bell, Prouse and child. Wild Wave schooner is waiting at the heads to go out. She is chartered locally to bring timber from Picton. The s.s. Patea will lay up for cleaning boiler at Wellington, and will not leave Wellington till Monday, arriving here Tuesday evening, and leaving Wednesday at 5 p.m. for Wellington. HIGH WATER. Saturday—3-1 a.m. 2-24 p.m. Sunday 2-49 a.m. 3-15 p.m. Monday—3-42 a.m. 4-11 p.m. Tuesday—4-42 a.tn. 5-17 p.m. Wednesday—6-0 a:m., 6-21 p.m; Thursday—6-50 a,m. 7-20 p.m. Friday—7-47 a.m. 8-13 p.m.
