GREAT FIRE AT TAURANGA.

Taurangn, Wednesday. A fire broke out last evening, commencing in Mr Lee’s shop on the Strand, and destroying seve.ral buildings, the total loss being over £30,000. The places destroyed are: Rhodes’s store and boot shop, M’Kenny’s boarding-house, Fielding’s store, Bonner’s boot shop, Ellis’s hoot shop, Burrow’s stationery depot, Wrigley’s grain store ; also several small dwelling houses. The Times proprietory have taken new offices, and will publish on Saturday, v The origin of the fire is unknown, hut it supposed a kerosene lamp was left burning in Lee’s shop, and exploded. Wrigley, who was uninsured, loses about £13,000.
