After pigging, a plentiful supply of wash, especially with some milk in it, and good home-made coarse bran for the first few days, is all that is necessary. An extensive American bee-keeper is transferring his quarters to the island of Cyprus for the purpose of supplying Europe and America with queens of the celebrated Cyprian or Holy Land bees. The last new fancy is to print books and newspapers in luminous ink, so that they may bo read in the dark in bed, or in course of a journey.
Pawnbrokers have never been described as the pioneers of progress, although it must be admitted that they are always ready to make an advance.
