REVENUE OF NEW ZEALAND.
The total ordinary revenue of the colony for the year ending March 31st was £3,123,960, exclusive of £94,200 deficiency bills. The total ordinary expenditure for the same period was £3,168.183, leaving a balance in hand of £88,533. The land revenue was £299,166, and the year’s expenditure from that source £266,793. The two accounts, after providing for deficiency bills, show a surplus of upwards of £26,000. On the same date the total expenditure on loan account for the year amounted to £1,960,974, leaving a balance in hand, subject to liabilities, of £1,360,373, exclusive of the guaranteed half million.
