WELLINGTON MARKETS. (Prom N.Z. Mail.) Grass Seed. —We cannot report any improvement in the business of the past week. There has been a little animation in grass seeds, rye receiving most attention. Considerable sales have been made at from 4s per bushel and upwards, and all over the colony prices have advanced. A sale of six tons came under our notice at equal to 4s 6d nett, but the sample was prime. We quote 4s 6d to 4s 9d, and look for a considerable increase on these rates. Cocksfoot seed is also firm at 31d to 3£d for first-class descriptions. Flour. —Flour is again easier, and first-class brands are quoted from £lO to £lO 10s.
Wheat. —The Canterbmy opening price is as we anticipated, 3s 6d to 3s 9d. We bear of several parcels in this market, but no business has been carried through ; we believe 4s nett is quoted.
