Each reel of paper on which the London morning papers arc printed is, on an average,46 inches wide and miles in length. The combined issues of the Times, Telegraph, Standard, and Daily News, if placed end to end, would form a continuous line of nearly 600 miles, or about the distance from London to Berlin. In the course of his esmination before the Provisional Trustee in Bankruptcy, at Auckland, Mr Horace Lingard said be considered £l2 to £ls a week would be a full salary for himself and wife in their New Zealand engagement. Mr De Lias stated that he had offered Mr Lingard £4O a week for his scvices, and that he had made the same offer to Mrs Lingard.
