CABLE NEWS RECEIVED LAST NIGHT. (. Reuter's Despatches to the Mail.) AGRARIAN OUTRAGES CEASING. London, 7 th. News to hand from Ireland during the past few weeks shows that the agrarian outrages have now almost entirely ceased. This is attributed to the prompt measures which have been taken by the Government for the suppression of disorder. DENOUNCING IRISH COERCION BILL. London, 7th. Public meetings have been held in London and several provincial towns, at which- resolutions have : been passed denouncing the Irish- Coercion Bill now before Parliament. IRISH TENANTS” GIVING WAYLondon 7th. In addition to the complete cessation of outrages in Ireland, there are now signs that the Irish tenants arc giving way to the landlords, and will resume payment of rent for their holdings. BISMARK AND ENGLISH AMBASSADOR. Berlin 7th. Mr Goschen, the English Ambassador to the Porte, is visiting this city, while en route for Constantinople. He has had audiences of the Emperor and Prince Bismarck. SIGNS OF A PEACEABLE SETTLEMENT. Athens 7th. A more moderate feeling now pervades all classes in Greece in regard to the frontier question, and there seems to be a probability that the TurkoGreek difficulty will receive a peaceful settlement. THE CAUSE OP ASHANTEE DISTURBANCE. London, 7th. Further news from Sierra Leone confirms the previous telegram regarding the probability of an outbreak of war in that colony. It is now announced that the King of Ashantee demands that a refugee chief, who has placed himself
jnnder British protection, should bo surrendered. Sir Samuel Rowe, Governor of Sierro Leone, has refused the demand, hence the threatened attack on the colony by the Ashantees. FIRE IN COAL MINE. London, 7th. A disastrous fire has broken out in a colliery at Tunstall, Staffordshire, —20 colliers are entombed, and but little hope of rescuing them is maintained.
