AUCKLAND STOCK. Messrs Hunter and Nolan reported on the 4th, — Housks. —There has been considerable vitality in the market, and a very large number have been brought forward, but unfortunately many were weedy or refused to take their warranty teat. We quote, backs, from £5 12s 6d to £l7 ; light harness horses, from £l4 to £22 10s ; draught, £32 ss. Catti.k. —There has been a great deal doing in the market. The supply has been good, particularly at Papakura, where the yards wore completely filled. No choice dairy cows have been disposed of. A large number of stores have been brought forward, and found purchasers. Fat beasts have been in rather short supply, but there was no upward tendency in the prices. We quote, Dairy cows, from £6 15s to £8 6s ; calves, from 27s 6d to 40s; yearlings £2 10s to £2 16s : two-year-old steers, £3 12s to £4 10s ; three-year-old stesrs, £6 to £5 10s. Shkkp. The number submitted at the fair on Tuesday was much less than anticipated. The rams, though well bred were not the best of their class, £2 10s being the highest price, while inferior animals sold at 16s. Ewes ranged from 7s 6d to 15s 3d ; lambs, 7s 6d to 10s; store wethers, 10s to 1 Is’.Od. The butchers pens at the market were well filled, and Is 8d per 81bs was about the average price.
