WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s report, dated Mel bourne Dec. 15th, says Our London office advises us by cable, under date the 11th inst., as follows ''• The sales closed on the Uth inst. at the level of last sales. Scoured market is unchanged. Superior scoured has advanced £d to Id per lb. Greasy market is unchanged. Clothing washed, combing washed, and fine crossbred market firmer. Coarse crossbred has declined Id to l£d per lb. Merino lambs’ market firmer. A great many secondhand parcels have been offered during the past sales. The sales comprise about 114,000 bales. 16,000 bales have been held over for future disposal, chiefly Cape of Good Hope, 50,000 bales have been taken for export. At our usual Melbourne sale on Monday we submitted a catalogue of about 1,600 bales, which met with keen competition, and all but two or three lots were cleared. There was no marked difference from late ruling rates, except in crossbreds, which were not so firm. CANTERBURY GRAIN & PRODUCE(From Canterbury Times.') Wheat. —There is no change in the value of wheat. Best milling has been sold at 4s 3d to 4s 4d. A few odd lots of inferior have changed hands at 8s 6d to 3s 9d. Chick has been quitted in small parcels at 2s to 2s 6d.

Oats stand as before, with not much passing. Best milling are quoted at Is 7d to Is Bd, and Is 3d to Is 5d for feed sorts. Barley remains unaltered. Best malting is quoted at 3s 3d to 3s 6d, and other sorts range from 2s 6d to 2s lOd. Feed parcels are very dull of sale. Flour. —A fair demand has been felt for flour at £lO to £ll, according to brand. Rye-grass. —No business has yet transpired in rye-grass, although several parcels for forward delivery have been under offer. Cocksfoot, of the new crop, has also been placed under offer, but nothing has been done, buyers and sellers differing considerably. Dairy Produce. —Butter, 5d to 6d ; cheese, dull at 3£d to 4d ; hams and bacon Bsd to 9d. NEW PLYMOUTH RETAIL PRICES. (Corrected by latest report), Buying. Sellng.

Mill Pbices. —Taranaki flour, 14s 6d per lOOibs ; silk-dressed (Star brand), 15s 6d ; wheat meal, 13s 6s; chick’s wheat, 4s 6d per bushel ; sharps, 8s per lOOibs, or sack 10s ; bran, 4s per sack ; oats, 3s per bushel ; oatmeal, 4s 6d per bag (251bs); maize (best screened), 5s Od per bushel.
