The Sydney Evening News says . —A parcel of stone was sent from the No. 1 East, Rich’s reef, Temora, for assay, and gave the splendid return of 230z 13dwt IGgrs to the ton. Mr Perkins, of the Royal Exchange Hotel, Sydney, is the lucky proprietor of the claim mentioned. The assayer, in in's rcport, makes special mention ol tJie sig’mficant fact that in no part of the stone soul him for analysis was there any colour of gold visible, and moreover, that it will not X'eqnirc any of the complicated methods of treatment in crushing, as the stone is perfectly free from p3‘iitcs. Everything points to the reef turning out well, if not a veritable fortune to the owner.
