Village Settlement Applications.
Applications wore received yesterday at Patea and Hawera Land Offices for suburban sections near Manaia township and Opunaki township, and for village sections at Otakchn, between Manaia and Oco. The principle of ballot is to be applied between applicants in these instances, and some sections were open to cash buyers and some to deferred payment selectors, the ballot to he applicable to both kinds. This will secure the sections at the reserve price to each successful ballotor or single applicant. The balloting is fixed for Wednesday. The following applications were received at Patea yesterday, up to four o’clock: MANAIA SUBURBAN. Applicants Section 1, Block 7 1 „ 12, „ 7 2 !) 22, ~ 7 1 „ 24, „ 7 1 ~ G, ~ 7 1 „ 78, „ 7 1 „ 101, „ 7 G „ 102, „ 7 1 „ 103, „ 7 4 „ 104, „ 7 5 „ 106, „ 7 1 „ HO, „ 7 14 OTAKEJIU VILLAGE. Section 9, Block I 2 j? 10, ,i 1 1 „ 17, » 1 „ 36, „ 5 5 ~ 04, ~ 5 2 07, „ 7 OPUNAKI SUBURBAN. For these sections, only 1 Total applications, 55 for 19 sections. The Hawera applications could not be obtained before close of the telegraph yesterday.
