RECEIVED LAST NIGHT. {Renter's Despatches to the Mail.) Murder in Ireland. BAILIFF BEATEN TO DEATH. London, 4th, News lias been received of another murderous outrage in Ireland. A bailiff, while executing' a decree of eviction of a tenant from a farm at Cookstown .in the County Tyrone, was set upon by a tenant and a number of. his sympathisers and was murdered amongst them. BASUTO REBELS DEFEATED. Capetown, Bth. News to hand from the scat of hostilities in Basutoland and adjoining districts is that after several severe engagements between colonial forces and tribes of Poudos, the latttcr have been utterly routed.
