Coy, dated November 24tli, says :—Since onr last month's summary a largo business can be reported at satisfactory prices, well sustaining opening rates. Exclusive catalogues have been submitted throughout the month to eager competition, buyers showing every disposition to operate, which has in most instances been mot by growers, thus leading to transactions fully equal to previous years. The favorable news to baud while wc arc writing, of the opening of the November sales in London, lead us to anticipate a continuation of the activity that has hitherio prevailed so far in our present series of sales. r ihe number of bales sold during the month here is 40,110. The attendance of buyers, comprising English, Scotch, Continental, and American, is large, the size and variety of the cotalogues offered in this market, which include Wools front all the neighbouring colonies, not excepting New Zealand, afford ing them an assortment unobtainable • outside of London, and giving a character to this market which has placed it in the foremost position as the Woo! Depot of Australia. Our London oflicc advises us by cable under date the 23rd hist, as follows: — The sales opened at the level of the last sale, the 23rd inst. The sale comprised about 90,000 bales ; 11,000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct" The opening catalogue contained 4,700 bales. Home buyers arc purchasing freely, but the continental demand is limited. Scoured market firmer, Greasy market unchanged. The condition of the clip on tire whole is good, it being well-grown and sound. Tire smaller, lots have been corning to hand, as a rule, in a more marketable condition than hitherto, greater attention being evidently shown in skirting and preparing the fleeces.

Our advices from the colony are favourable from a general point of view, for although complaints arc hoard from northern parts of the colony of want of moisture, still by comparison with the past lew years we are well supplied therewith. Harvest prospects arc good, anil the farmers as a rule look forward to a good year should they bo rewarded with fair average prices. Shipments to London during the month 101,009 bales. Total shipments to date 144,803. PRICES CURRENT.
