The Mail has ocor SO subscribers between Whcuuahura and Wailotara. BRANCH OFFICE OF THE MAIL. Friday Evening. 1.0.G.T. —The fortnightly meeting of the members of this lodge was held iu tlie old Town Hall on Thursday. There was a small attendance and the chief business consisted in enrolling two new members . School Examination. —Mr Inspector Fonlis held his annual examination of the School here on Tuesday and Wednesday, and examined IhciCohi School on Thursday. His report of the school hero is not as yet made public, although it is said to be now in the hands of the School Committee. Si i ioarjxo. —Farmers arc now busy shearing, and those who have finished arc glad it is over. This has not been a favorable season for the work, but the return of wool is good, and the prices will bo a great advantage to farmers in these pinching times. The hay crop has not improved by the weather, and altogether we have not had weather lately at all favorable for fanning operations.
