Over 300 head cattle came forward, and were ail young, healthy stock, well classed into 10 pons. r lhe fall in price which I noticed for some time past, was very marked ; only four pens being sold under the hammer, as follows : —Good yearling steers, £2 10s ; 2-year-old steers, £4 ; 1-f-ycar-old heifers, £3 7s Gd. One mixed pen, sold separately, averaged £3. Some business was transacted after the sale, and I understand about 200 head changed hands at prices which, under the circumstances, were considered fairly satisfactory.
