Towton (own brother to the Peer), bred in England in 1850, got by Melbourne out of Cinzclli by Touchstone, Brocade by Pantaloon. Cinzelli the winner of the *2OOO guineas, and dam of Towton, the Peer, and Marquis. Cocksure is rising 8 years old ; as a 3-year-old, won tho Hutt Park Stakes and Auckland Handicap, and was winning the Auckland Cup easy when he ran off the course, and was never raced afterwards.
