FAMINE IN RUSSIA.
A cable message from St, Petersburg!! says that owing to the famine which is extending in Russia, the prices of food generally, but especially of wheat, are rapidly increasing. Much alarm exists, and the Government threatens to transport to Siberia some of the leading grain merchants, for raising the prices of breadstuffs which they hold in stock.
