NO ELIGIBLE Tenders having been received, fresh Separate Tenders are hereby invited, on an amended specification, to which the attention of contractors is drawn, for Gravelling or Metalling (if required) Contracts Nos. I, 2, 3, 4, and 5, on the Mountain road, County Patea; and Contracts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6, on the Mountain road, County<6f Taranaki. They will be received at the Public Works Office, New Plymouth, until noon on Wednesday. 17th November, 1880, and must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Public Works, and marked outside, “ Tenders tor Gravelling or Metalling.” Specifications and conditions may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Wellington, Wanganui, Carlyle, and New Plymouth; Post-office, Hawera ; and at the Telegraph-office, Normanby. All tenders must be accompanied by a deposit cheque for the amount named in the specifications; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to be in favor of the Receiver-Generals Deposit Account only , and not to bearer or ord* j r. 'i he lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. NOTICE is hereby given, that the Quarterly Licensing Meeting for the purpose of taking into consideration all applications for such Licenses as by “ The Licensing Act 1873 Amendment Act 1874,” are authorised to be granted by Licensing Courts, of which due notice shall have been given to the Clerk of the Licensing Court for the District of Waitotara and Patea, will be held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Carlyle, on Tuesday, the 7th day of December, 1880, at 12 o’clock noon. NOTICE is hereby given that Allotments of Land, on terms of Deferred Payments; in the above districts, will he open for selection by application at the Crown Lands Office in New Plymouth, the District Laud Office at Carlyle, and the Post Office, Hawera, on and after tlie 21st day of August next ensuing. - Plans and Schedules may be obtained at all the Offices named. The Receiver of Land Revenue requests that intending purchasers will observe that all payments to him must be made in Cash, Post Office Order, or Bank Draft, payable .to the “ Receiver of Land Revenue, New Plymouth.” Cheques cannot* be received.
