F.E. JACKSOH’S BBPOST. Fortnightly stock report, November 3:—A large entry of cattle camo forward for the Waverley and St. Hill-street sales. TLcy were all disposed of at the auctions, in favor of the vendors. Beef at the sale to-day made 17s Gd the 1001b. Sheep were well competed for, and brought full rates, CATTLE.—24I head yarded—3-year-old store bullocks, L 5 15s to L 6 2s Gd ; 2-year-olds, L 4 to L 4 7s Gd ; cows, L 4 7s6d; yearlings, L2 17s Gd to L 3 15s. At the sale to-day, 494 head wero sold—Fat bullocks, L 7 15s to L 8 10s ; cows, LG 5s to L 7 ; 3-year-old steers, L 5 ; 2-year-olds, L 4 ; cows, L 4 to L 4 5s ; yearlings, L 3. Sheep.—72o were penned—Fat sheep in wool, 13s to 13s 6d ; shorn, 8s 6d ; good stores, in wool, 11s to Us 6d. Horses.—As usual. Exports.—4B cattle, 597 sheep, and 22 horses. AUCKLAND STOCK. {Latest Report .) Messrs Hunter and Nolan report that cattle in a very large number have again changed hands, especially at the cattle fair a t Papakura on Monday (Nov. 1). and at the usual monthly sale on Wednesday (Nov. 3) at the same place; grown steers advanced in value, other dsecriptions remained at last week’s values. They quote beef, 225.t0 28s. per lOOlbs.; inferior quality sheep were in only moderate supply ; shearlings sold at Is lOd to 2s 2d per 8lbs; lambs 5s to 15s 3d ; pigs very plentiful, and prices were in favor of buyers. Mr Buckland reports th at at Pukekohe on Monday (Nov. 1) there was a large muster of store cattle, above 170 being yarded. There was a numerous attendance, but the bidding was dull, aud prices slightly lower* but nearly all that were yarded were sold at auction. NEW PLYMOUTH STOCK. (Latest Report.) Messrs Bauchope and King report:—On Thursday wo held our fortnightly cattle sale at Waiwakaiho. Attendance was moderate. Prices did not show much alteration from last sale :—9 calves from 33s 6d to 37s Gd ; 7do from £2 2s Gd to £2 7s Gd ; 13 good yearlings, £2 17s Gd to £3; 5 calves, £2 2s Gd ; 4 springing heifers at £3 15s ; 2 do at £3 10s ; 2 do at £3 5s ; 4 heifers, £4 7s 6s, £3 7s 6d ? £3 10s, and £2 15s ; 5 steers at £4 2s Gd ; cows, £5 10s, £4, £5, £6, £3, £4.
