Friday Evening, The Young Men’s Mmnal Improvement Society have postponed till next Tuesday the unfinished debate on “ Monarchy versus "Republicanism,” The Cavalry Bali, held on Wednesday evening was a groat success The dancing was kept up till 4 o’clock, and all seemed highly delighted with the night’s entertainment. Coxceiit. —Those who are to take part in tlie concert this evening mot last night in the Town Hall for rohorsal, and with such a strong choir a full house may be expected, and a considerable balance realised in favour of tlic Presbyterian Church funds. Cemetery. —The cemetery here is in a disreputable condition, and if the trustees do not soon set it right, there will be no end of confusion. At present it is covered with grass and weeds a foot high ; ths dead bodies seem to be buried in the most convenient places, almost regardless of regularity ; there are no paths or roads, and people going into the cemetery have to wade through grass up to the knees.
