GOOD TEMPLARY.
>Sm, —One of your correspondents has been rather mixing matters with regard to the Waverley Lodge, 1.0.G'.T. A case of immoral conduct is cited in a way that would lead many to suppose it had happened in our lodge. Such is not the case, I have been a member ever since the lodge started, and most of the time in office, and would know if anything was or had been wrong. The barest shadow of suspicion of such a thing would be considered an insult by every member of the lodge. The writer of the reports of our meetings (not “ your own ”) was giving his experience of certain English lodges, at one of which, as I take it, this case occurred. In reporting, he should have confined himself to a simple statement of business done, and an account of our condition, numerical and financial, and not have wandered into social topics. lam sure, however, he did not mean any harm, and that he has the interest of the order at heart.—l am, sir, Joti.v W. Kkxaii, P.W.C.T., Waverley Lodge.
